About Me

I was born in the island Faial, Azores in the 8th December, 1997.

When I was 7 months and a day old (9th july, 1998) there was an earthquake that destroyed our house, and because of that we had to move to the main continent, to Lisbon.

I've since then made my life in Estoril, always switching from one sport to another until 2 years ago I found Aikido (it isn't a sport because it has no competition), and now I don't feel like changing.

Relating to diets, since from a young age I've always loved animals and cared for my appearance, and because of those two things, when I was 14 years old I've started firstly to find a diet that would make me really fit (back then I didn't know anything about being fit or healthy, just more or less the food pyramid).
When I was 16 (in September 2014) I started a diet that was low carb, and high in proteins and this diet was not counseled by nutritionists or food experts. Even though I had a six-pack (I had 78 kg
being 1,87 cm tall, but I had low quantities of muscle), the results weren't good because: I was always too stressed about food, I was always thinking when I was going to eat and I was feeling hungry all the time, eating every two hours, but always really stressed to eat healthy (according to my standarts at the moment); I was depressive if I ate any foods that weren't healthy and I would run until I didn't feel bad about it; and finally my libido was gone, I almost couldn't have an erection.
So in May 2015 I stopped that stupid diet but what followed wasn't good also because I wanted to catch up with all that junk food and be laid back, but I wasn't, I was a binge eater. With that diet I didn't put much weight (90kg): firstly because it ended July 2015; secondly because I have a good metabolism; and thirdly because I was doing a lot of calisthenics and bodyweight exercises (a lot of the weight I gained was muscle).
Since that time until one week ago (28th January, 2017) I followed a laid back but healthy diet, gaining a bit more muscle and losing some fat, maintaining the 90 kg.
As I said, one week ago things changed, I watched some documentaries and for my love of animals  I became a vegan and until now I can't say too bad things, just some things that with time I'll get used, and I don't even want to eat meat, I genuinely feel a bit of disgust towards it now.

I'll continue updating!
